What an absolutely lovely experience.Chef Enrique met us up at the Mercado and we walked through different vendors to purchase ingredients for the class. He explained the history of the vegetables and how it related to Mexico’s rich history.After the mercado, Enrique drove us to his home where his family was there to greet us with smiles and beverages while we got settled in the kitchen.Cleanliness is key as they have you sanitize and wash up prior to touching any of the food.Everyone got a chance to be very hands on with the items we ended up eating. It was fascinating seeing everuthing come together to make the delicious dish we ended up with.It felt like being invited in by a family member to dine with them. Would 1000% do another class. Chef Enrique is amazing! Honorable mentions to Erika & Carolina!

Great experience- started with a market ‘tour’ picking out the fresh ingredients for the meal. Then a short trip to Chef’s house for the actual experience. The activity was fun and the food amazing.

Just finished my 4th visit to Cooking Playa. Chef Alma has become a friend and always asks after my family by name. I have multiple food allergies that Alma has cheerfully accommodated on each visit... never making me feel like a challenge to cook with.Each and every meal has been better than the last and I've brought the recipes home to cook for my entire family.I will continue to visit as many times as she will have me.

Miguel was amazing and did a great job educating us on the area and local food. He was so nice and the food was so good. We also did a tequila and chocolate tasting which we also enjoyed very much. Definitely worth the money!!

We had such a great time at this cooking class! The market tour was awesome, and we really enjoyed learning about the local ingredients and food. He introduced us to new cooking techniques and authentic recipes from the area that we probably never would have tried on our own.The lunch afterward was absolutely fantastic! Everything was so fresh and delicious, and it was fun getting to enjoy what we had made.He was so friendly and welcoming throughout the whole experience and even gave us a ride back afterward, which was so thoughtful!We really enjoyed the entire experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta. Such a fun way to spend the day!

Delicious cooking experience. Tasted a verity of mole and chocolates. Group shopped for and prepared ingredients for chile relanenos which we roasted, cleaned, stuffed, dredged in egg and flour and fried!! Chicken enchiladas. A great lesson for making our own margaritas!!

Our journey began in 2012 with Cookin' Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta’s premier Mexican cooking class. In the beginning, our dream was simple: to build a small business that allowed us to share more quality time with the ones we love—our spouses, children, and parents.
From those family roots grew a shared mission: to serve as proud ambassadors of Mexico, its people, and its culture, using authentic recipes passed down through generations as our greatest asset.

In 2015, we decided to take our passion for local food out into the vibrant streets of Mexico, launching Juan More Taco Tours in Cabo San Lucas. What started as an expansion soon blossomed into a nationwide culinary movement, paving the way for our cooking classes across multiple destinations.
